On November 29, 2024, NetEase Games and the development team at Naked Rain officially announced that the game has been renamed to Ananta. The announcement was made across several official platforms, including their X (formerly Twitter) account, website, and a new YouTube channel named Ananta.
However, this rebranding has sparked questions among fans. Why change a well-known name after a year? Why create a new YouTube channel when the previous one already had a substantial subscriber base? Unfortunately, the developers haven’t provided detailed reasons but promised a significant reveal on December 4, 2024.
What is Ananta?
Ananta retains its core as an urban open-world RPG. Players will step into the role of an A.C.D. Agent, exploring the futuristic city of Nova, a vibrant coastal hub brimming with exciting activities. Nova offers a unique blend of human life and Chaos, mysterious entities that coexist within the city. Described as an "electric" city, Nova is home to iconic locations like Paradox Plaza and Glimmergold, ensuring there’s never a dull moment.
One of Ananta’s standout features is the dynamic interaction with Chaos, unpredictable creatures that can appear anytime. While packed with action, the game doesn’t shy away from humor. In fact, the official website cheekily reminds players: “If you encounter Chaos, report it first, take selfies later!”
